If you find yourself in Saint John, make sure you check out Liz Miller’s shop, Good Fibrations. Liz is a fibre artist. In the back of her shop you’ll see a spinning wheel and loom. There is probably a dye kitchen nearby too!
The front of the shop is a treasure trove for knitters with a variety of yarns. Some are hand-dyed in house, some are established names like Opal and MacAusland’s and some are unique varieties by local producers like Ravenswood Fibre Co.
For non-knitters, there is plenty as well. There are supplies for spinners, weavers and dyers. If purchasing finished products is more your style, you will find hand-made mittens, hats, shawls, bags and many more items.
