If you are visiting St. Andrew’s or taking the Grand Manan ferry, make sure you allow extra time to stop at Cricket Cove Fine Handknits at Blacks Harbour.
In my opinion, this yarn shop sets the standard for yarn shops. Whenever I visit, I don’t know where to look. The shop is full of sample pieces, books and of course, yarn. They carry a variety of manufacturers including East Coast favourites like Fleece Artist and Briggs and Little.
In addition to the flagship shop in Blacks Harbour, Cricket Cove has 3 other shops in Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John. I have only been to the Saint John shop but can attest that this is a mini-version of the Blacks Harbour shop with lots of yarn and eye-candy for the knitter.
